Land clearing questions
What does lot clearing include?
Brush, small trees, cedar, mesquite, old fencing, trash piles and anything else between you and a clean building footprint. Trees get cut and hauled, brush gets mulched or hauled, and the site is left ready for dirt work. Stump removal is quoted separately.
Do you do dirt work or grading?
We clear. Grading, pad building and excavation are separate trades, and we can leave the site exactly how your dirt contractor wants it, or point you to one.
Can you clear just the homesite and leave the rest?
Yes, and that's usually the smart move. We clear the building footprint, driveway and a buffer, and leave the rest of the acreage natural or brush hogged.
Do you need a survey first?
Not for the quote. For the work, knowing the property lines and where the house goes saves everyone trouble. Flag it or send the survey and we'll clear to the marks.
How long does it take?
A half-acre homesite in light brush is a day. Several acres of cedar can be a week. We'll give you a realistic timeline with the number.
